Situated near to Melbourne , the national park covers a vast area of 13,000 hectares (133km square). The park exhibits magnificent wildflower and bush-land during summers and snowy woodlands in winters. This Australian alpine region is mainly indicated by low lying grasses, snow gums and heath lands. Located 153 kilometres from the Yarra Junction, both Mount Baw Baw Alpine Village and Baw Baw National Park are the closest ski resorts to Melbourne.
