Murren is stunning; it sits above the valley and can only be accessed by cable car. Once here you can enjoy breathtaking view of the valley, slopes and glaciers of Eiger, Monuch and Jungfrau. The Brits started downhill ski racing here. Murren is located 200km fro Zurich and 70km from Bern.
With its very small, car free village, Murren is not a busy, rollicking town, so if you want entertainment it isn't the best resort, but if you r looking to chill out and enjoy the best views this is perfect.
The runs are favorable to expert and intermediate skiers, with beginners and cross country skiers left out tin the cold. The run to beat all runs though is Schilthorn, a 1300 metre vertical, sure to get the heart pumping.
There are restaurants on the mountain, with one revolving, a great way to enjoy the incredible views.
There are only a few hotels, but chalets and apartments make up for the shortfall. Most dining can be done at the hotel restaurants.
There is very little to do off the slopes except relax and enjoy the view.
