Miyun County, in which the Nanshan Ski Village is located, is sixty two km away from Beijing, the capital of China. This area is not only known for its skiing, it offers water skiing, grass skiing, gliding and sliding activities. Visitors to this area may come via the Beijing Capital International Airport.
There is a snowboarding park called the “Nokia Nanshan Mellow Park” with a Half Pipe, 5 kicker style roller, 7 rails and a wallride. The snowboarding park also has China’s first advanced Mogul’s trail which is a children’s snowmobile route.
This ski resort has 1 Quad chair lift, 1 Double chair lift, 11 beginner’s surface lifts and a 1,318 long toboggan run. Other fun stuff for children as well as adults includes a Cable hang-glider and Snow sledges. Nanshan Ski Village has a high tech snowmaking system and 12 snowmaking machines.
Here, they have an excellent ski school with over 70 instructors who teach skiing and snowboarding to beginners and intermediate skiers. For accommodation, there is Shirton Villas, Two Norwegian Villas and other options for families as well as individuals and couples.
