Forming a large plateau of 7000 square km the Parang Mountains are a challenging ski area in
Romania and the second highest group of mountains in the Carpathians. Parang offers mainly advanced and intermediate skiing with a vertical drop of 612 metres.
The resort has ten ski runs serviced by six lifts.
Snowboarding is very popular in Parang.
Cross country skiers will find 16km of Nordic skiing trails to explore. This area is well known for the paragliding facilities, and hosts international championships. Local accommodation and good restaurants are available in Parang.
