Paraul Rece, meaning “cold stream” in English is a hidden gem in the Carpathian Mountains and a popular winter sports centre. The centre has a slalom and downhill run and is well known for the
cross country skiing facilities.
Children’s skiing is also available.
The town is a well known mountain spa area, known for its healing properties. Several trails are available in and around the town for walking. Paraul Rece has a number of hotels and guest houses.
