Mount Baba in Macedonia has around twenty peaks, Pelister being the highest and a popular ski resort. This small ski centre may only have two ski lifts but there is an impressive 1172 metres of vertical descent.
Pelister is best suited to advanced and intermediate skiers and snowboarders and has just two pistes. It is just one hour from Ohrid Airport and has a variety of local guest houses and small hotels. The mountain area around Pelister has a large amount of wildlife including boar, deer and black grouse and is renowned for the stunning scenic views. |
