The twin resorts of Podobovets and Pilipets in Ukraine are popular ski centres. Pilipets is around 2km from Podobovets and can be reached by sled or taxi. The village itself is relatively undeveloped with lodgings available in people’s homes.
Pilipets is known for long ski runs with mixed abilities. Although there are new ski lifts there is a horse drawn sled which takes skiers to the more distant lifts in the resorts.
Just 3km from the resort is the Shipit Waterfall, one of the prettiest in Ukraine and at its most dramatic when covered in ice. |
