The centre is totally above the tree line at 2830 metres and therefore ideal for snowboarding and off piste skiing. With two quad chair lifts and eight others serving the runs, and a ski school run by ex gold medallists, Portillo is a great place for a vacation and learning to ski.
The resort also has an outdoor heated swimming pool, fitness centre and a good hotel. Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere is near to this ski resort.
