The Powderhouse Hill Ski area is located at South Berwick, ME. This resort is owned by the town and operated by the local ski club. They have one of the few remaining rope tows in the state. This is a great place for beginners to learn.
This is a nice little area with friendly people and a mom and pop type feel to the resort. Think of this as a gem for beginners hidden amongst all of the other resorts in the area. Because it is run by the local Ski Club there are not a lot of people on the slopes at one time and it is an excellent place to learn or to just get a quick run in. They do offer an annual fun race.
