Rathvel ski resort is located above Chatel-St-Denis and provides a family friendly atmosphere and excellent resource for beginner skiers. The beautiful backdrop of the mountainous terrain and powdery drifts make this a cozy and comfortable ski resort.
Accommodations
Most accommodations consist of holiday rentals and ski chalets scattered throughout the area. Some village area three start hotels are also available and consist of warm and inviting rooms that are budget friendly. Most hotels are family owned and managed, and hospitality is always part of the menu.
Tracks/Slopes
A total of 1,350 meter slopes are available at Rathvel with nearly all geared toward to the beginner skier. Four ski lifts accommodate adults up the mountain while two ski lifts are designated especially for children.
Other Activities
Runs are lit at night and provide a unique way of discovering the mountain. For something a little different than downhill skiing, snowboarders are always welcome at Rathvel on any run. Unique and winter hiking trails reveal an exquisite alpine setting and crisp mountain air.
