Schweitzer Mountain is a large, full service mountain resort. There are 2,900 skiable acres and a 2,400 vertical drop. The average annual snowfall is 300 inches. There are 92 trails and open bowl skiing as well. Beginners only have access to 10 percent of the runs and intermediates get to use 40 percent. Advanced skiers and riders can enjoy 35 percent of the terrain. The remaining 15 percent are expert only trails. Cat skiing is available. Cross country skiers have the use of 32km. Night skiing is available.
There are three terrain parks for those that enjoy freestyle. Snow tubing is also offered. Snowmobiles are available to rent.
There are lodging, dining and après ski options on the mountain. Other possibilities are available nearby in town.
