Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is a family friendly area located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. There are 125 skiable acres with 700 feet of vertical drop. Over 50 inches of annual snowfall are reported in the area and their snowmaking capabilities are 100 percent. Twelve lifts can move 12,600 people up the mountain per hour. There are 23 trails, 2 terrain parks and a snow tubing area. Beginners have access to 25 percent of the runs, intermediates can use 50 percent of the trails and the final 25 percent of the terrain is strictly for use by advanced enthusiasts.
There are a few restaurants at the resort. More are available within a few minutes’ drive. Lodging is available on the mountain and varies from hotels to rental condos. Après ski can be found nearby.
