ski hotels

Iran is a beautiful country in Western Asia. This beautiful country is full of contradictions. You will find everything in Iran from history to modern architecture. From deserts to mountains, this country will surprise you at every step. Even though, Iran is famous for its oil fills and deserted terrains, but it also has some beautiful mountainous locales in its northern areas.

One such beautiful place is the Shemshak ski resort. Located at an altitude of 8,382 feet, this serene resort lies in the Alborz Mountains of Iran. Lying around 35 miles away in the northeastern side of Tehran, Shemshak is one of the largest ski resorts in Iran, second only to Dizin ski resort that lies near this resort.

Shemshak ski resort has some of the most difficult ski runs in the country and if you are an expert skier, then you will just love this place. But beginners and amateurs may have some problem in skiing at this resort.

Shemshak ski resort has all the world class facilities, you can expect in a world class ski resort. There are two chair lifts, two t-bars and three buttons installed to transport people to the mountains. The highest point at this resort is at 10,000 feet and a chair lift takes you there. These lifts can handle the crowd very well and there are usually no queues, except on weekends when this resort sees a lot of locals who come here on a day trip.

Shemshak ski resort receives a lot of snow every year and it may sometimes be as deep as 6.5 feet. The quality of snow is also very good. Thanks to the dry and cold temperature of the mountains, the snow remains beautiful and powdery. Even though, there is no separate park for snowboarders but you can snowboard on the slopes like many people do. The thrill of snowboarding gets enhanced on the challenging terrain of this resort.

This resort also has two hotels which provide nice accommodation. Besides, there are four restaurants also where you can enjoy your mealtimes. This resort also provides evening skiing where you can ski under flood lights. This is a very unusual experience and if you are not tired of a full day of skiing then it is a good option for you. You won't find any bars or pubs in this resort as Iran is an Islamic country and alcohol is banned.

Skiing in any resort in Iran will be a different experience. There is no alcohol and women especially are expected to wear loose fitting clothes. But besides that, you will surely enjoy your trip to Shemshak ski resort.
