Snowmass ski resort is situated close to the famous Aspen area and is a purpose built resort. Aspen is only 19km away and free buses will transport frequently. Snowmass is big for an American ski field, with slopes up to 3815 metres, 24 lifts over 3,000 acres.
Intermediates will enjoy Snowmass the most as the skiing is excellent and considered to be the best in the Aspen area. Experts should be happy with the black runs although they can be short. Beginners are catered for, and overall Snowmass is considered to be a good family resort
Accommodation is mainly in apartment, self catering style. The restaurants are more family style than upmarket.
