Songhua Hu ski resort, China

The Songhua Hu Ski Area, which is also called the Songhua Hu Huaxue Chang, is located about 25 km from Jilin City near the shores of Songhua Lake. This area offers enormous potential with its tree lined forests and snow covered slopes. Visitors reach this area through the Changchun Longjia International Airport in Jilin or Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport, China. From the airport, visitors may take a taxi or get to Jilin Railway station by train and catch the bus Number 9 to this ski area. 

The Chinese Olympic team train on the slopes of this awe-inspiring ski resort well known for its three grand ski jumping hills.

This mountain has an elevation of 3064 ft and a vertical drop of 1925 ft. Accommodations for skiers in this beautiful snow area in the form of hotels, apartments, etc. are available in nearby Jilin City. The ski season here starts in early December and ends in February depending on the weather.

There are 3 trails here for skiers and snowboarders who come from other parts of China as well as from neighbouring countries.  The trails are rated Beginners – 50% and Intermediate – 50%. Skiers are taken uphill on two lifts which include one chair lift and one surface lift.

Songhua Hu Ski Area offers fantastic terrain with stunning scenery and breathtaking steeps where skiers can enjoy cross-country skiing. Skiers can rent most of the equipment at this resort for reasonable prices.
