Spain offers skiing in 35 different ski resorts in the following regions: The Pyrenees (all along the border with France), near Madrid, near Granada, near Valencia, and in the north-east and north-west of Spain. Spain has over 900 km of slopes with plenty of opportunities for beginners and families.  

Skiing in the Sierra Nevada near Granada offers the added benefit of being able to ski in the morning and relax on the beach in the afternoon.
