Stara Planina or “Old Mountain” is the largest mountain in Eastern Serbia on the Bulgarian border. It is an up and coming ski centre, particularly around the Babin Zub area. Three pistes are available and Markova Livada is floodlit for night skiing. A network of three lifts operate in the resort and the newly built Konkarnik quad chair lift has a capacity for 1500 skiers per hour.
The level of skiing is focused on intermediate to advanced with one beginner area. The longest piste is 1170 metres. Hotels are available in Stara Planina.
