Tara is a mountainous National Park in Western Serbia, clad in thick forests and with the stunning Tara canyon. Skiing is popular in Tara at 1000 metres above sea level on the three pistes. Three lifts operate in the area and there are numerous cross country trails. Tara National Park is one of the most beautiful locations in Serbia and is known for its abundance of wildlife and dramatic scenery.
There are three hotels in the park itself. Tara has many forest trails to explore and is a year round vacation resort with snow during a short season from December to March.
