Thunder Ridge Ski Resort is a family friendly ski area. There are 100 skiable acres with a vertical drop of 600 feet. The average annual snowfall is 60 inches and they have the ability to make snow for 100 percent of the terrain. The 6 lifts can move 4,740 people per hour.
There are 30 trails with the longest being 5,280 feet. Beginners can play on 40 percent of the runs; intermediates can use 40 percent as well. The remaining 20 percent is strictly for advanced enthusiasts. The terrain park will thrill freestyle skiers and riders. Night skiing is available.
Lodging is available nearby and many motels offer discounted lift tickets to their guests. Dining is also close and venues vary. Après ski fun is everywhere because of the numerous bars and lounges.
