Turkey skiing

Beautiful Turkey offers its visitors many attractions besides skiing, making it a great holiday destination for mixed groups of skiers and non-skiers. The Republic of Turkey lies at the crossroads of Southeastern Europe and Asia and provides several ski resorts in its mountainous inland.

Skiing in Turkey is not of the same standards as it is in Europe or the United States, but the country is investing in its resorts and working hard at making Turkey an international skiing destination. The ski season in Turkey runs from December to April and the snow is generally good.

The Uludag ski resort in Bursa, located in West Turkey, is without a doubt the most popular resort with high standards in facilities and equipment. Bursa has numerous hotels and also offers spas, thermal springs, and Turkish baths. The weekends are crowded with locals from all over the country.

Turkish cuisine is traditionally focused on home-made food and the typical breakfast of bread, cucumber, tomatoes, olives, cheese, jam, and honey, combined with the hospitality of the Turkish people, is something you will certainly miss when returning home.
