The Ski Resort of Turoa is also located on the North Islands Mount Ruapehu. Turoa is located on the South Western side of the mountain and boasts the largest vertical drop of any ski resort in New Zealand.

Turoa has undergone a huge upgrade over the past two years. A highlight is the new high speed 6 person chairlift that boasts the biggest uphill capacity in the Australasia region. It is known as the High Noon Express and can transport more than 3000 people per hour to the slopes. Another upgrade to Turoa is the larger snow making system, which provides optimum snow coverage.

Nine lifts operated over 500 hectares of ski fields and offers skiing for all levels.
Turoa resort has plenty of dry snow from July to October and is ideal for skiers and snowboarders alike.
