Ukraine is located in Eastern Europe and not very well-known for its ski resorts, which are relatively small. Most of the resorts are located in the Carpathian Mountains in the West, but there are a few more resorts scattered around the rest of the country. Foreigners will probably be drawn to the resorts in the Carpathian Mountains, as these are better developed and equipped, with mostly groomed slopes, than the rest of the resorts. Bukovel is Urkaine’s one and only resort that resembles a resort of European standards, with plenty of hotels, restaurants, and nightlife. |

Take your time getting to any Ukrainian ski resort, as the infrastructure in the Ukraine may not be what you are used to. A few things that speak in favor of skiing in Ukraine are the uncrowded slopes and the amazing views over the majestic mountains of this beautiful little country.
