Uplands ski area , Vaughan, Ontario, Canada

This small Golf and Ski club is located in Thorn Hill, south of Highway 407 in Vaughan, Ontario. This site has a vertical drop of 100 ft and most of the slopes average about 1000 ft in length. This ski hill is geared to skiers of all levels, especially children. The main hill here is believed to be one of the best hills for beginners in Ontario. It is 100 ft high, 75 ft wide and about 1000 ft in length.

Hours of operation are from Monday – Friday the hours are somewhere between 9 AM to 8:30 PM. There are five trails or slopes with one chair lift and a handle tow to take skiers uphill. Since the lifts have variable speed drives, they may be used to speed up or slow down the rate at which the skiers are carried uphill. The trails are rated Beginner – 1, Intermediate – 3 and Expert –1.

Night skiing is offered on this hill during weekdays.
