A spa town sitting on the confluence of several rivers, Vatra Dornei is a popular ski resort in the country of
Romania. With around 59 acres of land, Vatra Dornei is a small resort that sits at a relatively low altitude.
The area features a short ski season but is nevertheless popular amongst advocates of the sport. There are around 4.5km of piste at the resort, varying in difficulty levels from
beginners and
intermediates to advanced. One of the slopes features a drop of around 1,348ft and is one of the more demanding runs, amongst other challenges such as the low fraction of some of the other runs.
The slopes can be accessed easily by the three lifts at the resort. The resort is favourable to both skiing and snowboarding, as well as other snow sports. There are a number of accommodation choices in the area, which cater to numerous budgets and needs, including self-catering options.
