Wolfgang Wallner is one of two ski resorts just two miles from Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego and the lowest ski centre in South America at 140 metres.
There are three lifts and two intermediate or advanced runs over 900 metres of skiable surface. This is not a good off piste area as there is dense forest in Wolfgang Wallner. Cross country skiing is popular here with some excellent trails. Other activities include husky sledding, snowshoeing and photographic safaris. Snowboarding is available in the resort which is a popular ski centre with local people. Night skiing is available three times weekly in Wolfgang Wallner.
