Zagarkalns is a prominent ski resort in Latvia with a number of good pistes. There are a total of fourteen runs which include snowboarding trails with snow park and a run designated for sledging. The snow park has a Big Air, Wooded area, border cross and a central park for snowboarding. Eleven tow bar style lifts operate in the resort. The resort has a ski and snowboard school and a children’s ski school. Equipment hire is also available in Zagarkalns and a selection of hotels and guest houses. Zagarkalns also has a number of excellent cross country skiing trails.
